My Overall development as a DR.

Being a Class Representative it  allows you to become spokesperson for your class within the Institute. The class representative  is the first point of contact for all Institute authorities with your class.

What you stand to gain by becoming a Class Representative:-

Leadership skills: Your classmates may look to you for leadership on issues that face your class such as, issues with timetables etc.

Negotiations skills: You may be required to negotiate with your department head or a teacher on matters such as extending an assignment, project  deadline etc.

Advocacy skills: This means that you will learn to speak on behalf of your classmates at a number of different levels, that is  students council  meetings etc.

Organisation Skills: As class representative you will be responsible for the organisation of a event for students, taking students to different competition and so on.

Inter-personal skills: These are the skills which we attain while communicating with the others in our daily life.
As a DR I have developed my interpersonal skills as well as Communication skills and will be learning a lot more information in coming years.
